Brockton Garden Club (BGC) will have its first meeting of the season, and Wildlands Trust has been invited to present! The BGC meeting starts at 7 PM and doors open at 6:30 PM. This is a great chance to learn more about their work and get involved. They have volunteer opportunities, as well as opportunities to be on the leadership team!
Wildlands Trust will be sharing about our work protecting land across Southeastern Massachusetts and how you can find us in the Brockton community! Brockton-based initiatives and programs we have supported include the D.W. Field Park Initiative, Green Team, which is a paid service-learning program for Brockton-area teens, our youth program at Brockton High School, and the Greening the Gateway Cities Program.
Your presenter will be Programming Coordinator, Amy Burt. Amy Burt graduated from Unity Environmental University with a bachelor's degree in Adventure Therapy and Adventure-based Environmental Education. She is certified as a Wilderness First Responder and has been leading and supporting group hikes for 5+ years. As the Programming Coordinator, she oversees Wildlands Trust's outdoor programs, their Brockton-based youth programs, and supports their 20 volunteer hike leaders.
Free event. No registration is required. Learn more about the BGC here: https://brocktongc.org/
