Have you ever wondered how you can support your local birds?
Join Wildlands Trust this spring to learn carpentry skills while building homes for birds in Southeast MA! This workshop will walk participants through how to make birdhouses suitable for tree swallows and bluebirds. Wildlands staff and volunteers will guide attendees through the entire process, including explanation of tools, materials and safety practices involved.

Parking:
Meet at Wildlands Trust’s Stewardship Training Center at 549 Mast Road, Plymouth MA 02360.
Parking is available behind the pavilion space. Take a right at the top of the driveway and follow the dirt road to our parking lot.
From Route 3: Take Exit 7 (old Exit 3) and head southwest on Clark Road. Turn left at the intersection onto Long Pond Road and drive approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Halfway Pond Road and continue for about 1.3 miles. Then turn right onto Mast Road and drive for about 0.4 miles. 549 Mast Road will be on your right.
What to wear and bring:
Sturdy, closed-toed shoes/boots
No loose and/or dangling jewelry
Hair tie for long hair to be tied back
What to Expect:
-Using carpentry tools to build a birdhouse to take home!
-Becoming familiar with common carpentry tools such as saws, drills, etc.
-Create suitable habitat for local birds around your house.
-Be instructed by Wildlands Trust staff & volunteers with a variety of carpentry project experience.
