Mindfulness Hike at Halfway Pond

Join Wildlands Trust’s volunteer hike leader Betsy Hall for a mindfulness hike at Halfway Pond Conservation Area in Plymouth, MA! All are welcome to join and connect with nature as we practice being present in our surroundings. We will hike 2 miles of winding trails.

Parking:

Meet at Wildlands Trust’s Stewardship Training Center (STC) at 549 Mast Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.

Parking is available behind the pavilion space. Take a right at the top of the driveway and follow the dirt road to our parking lot. Please note that parking outside of events is not allowed - this lot is reserved for STC guests only.

From Route 3: Take Exit 7 (old Exit 3) and head southwest on Clark Road. Turn left at the intersection onto Long Pond Road and drive approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Halfway Pond Road and continue for about 1.3 miles. Please note Halfway Pond Road veers towards the right at the junction of Bourne Rd (Google Maps will not say this, but when driving, you can miss it!). Then turn right onto Mast Road (dirt road) and drive for about 0.4 miles. Drive slowly as the dirt road is narrow with limited vision in sections. 549 Mast Road will be on your left up a steep driveway.

What to Wear & Bring:

  • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes

  • Weather-appropriate clothing

  • Water

  • Snack

What to Expect:

  • 1.5 hours of standing and walking mindfulness practices

  • Hiking 2 miles through winding trails

  • An open, accepting, safe space where can be yourself

  • Wildlands Trust volunteers to guide you!

  • Extreme hot weather will cancel for the safety of our volunteers and hikers.

Restrictions:

  • Ages 18 +

  • No pets

  • Maximum 15 hikers

  • Minimum 5 hikers

Leader Bio:

Betsy Hall is a meditation teacher with over 25 years of experience. She trained under renowned instructor Jose Silva, whose techniques have been studied by millions of people around the world. Betsy has also studied with Zen Masters, Buddhist teachers, and Christian leaders. She loves to lead hikes in the forest because she believes that nature is one of the greatest meditation teachers. Betsy gently leads her participants in the art of self-discovery and delight. Her career as a teacher and guidance counselor is an essential part of her foundation as a meditation guide.

Outdoor programs are weather permitting. Extreme hot weather will cancel for the safety of our volunteers and hikers. Cancellations and postponements due to weather will be announced online and registered attendees will be notified via email.
