Agricultural lands once dominated the landscape of southeastern Massachusetts but today our farms and bogs comprise less than 9% of the total regional land cover. The availability of reliable Agricultural Maps and Resources is the first step in protecting our remaining agricultural lands.
Southeastern Massachusetts has a lot to offer outdoor recreation enthusiasts. The Nature Recreation section of Community Mapper is constantly being updated with new information to help people find spots to hike, camp, fish, paddle and birdwatch in Southeastern Massachusetts.
Developed by Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences as “Conservation Mapper,” Community Mapper is a public resource offered by the Wildlands Trust as part of its land conservation mission in southeastern Massachusetts. The Trust is committed to working with partners to develop Mapper into a state of the art tool for community planning and land conservation in our region. |
