Run For Conservation
Wildlands Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to permanently protecting land in Southeastern Massachusetts. On August 6, 2011 we hosted our first ever Run for Conservation! The 5k run/walk was an opportunity for runners, walkers, families, local non-profits, businesses, and everyone in between to come together and support land conservation in Southeastern Massachusetts. Over 170 people came out for the ½ trail ½ road race!
We partnered with the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and Bayside Runner to make this special event possible! It was held in DCR's Myles Standish State Forest, the state’s largest forest reserve and was part of the Bayside Runner Race Series (sponsored by Mizuno Running) at the GOLD level!
